How to get to Heaven from Newfield, NJ.

The main message of the Bible is that God has provided a wonderful plan of salvation. You can receive this salvation today, without cost, without good works, and without human effort.  (Spoiler alert!) By the way, the Bible tells us that Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved: “Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12). But first you need to Admit that you are a sinner; . . . , not the “I’m better than some but worse than others.” kind of sinner. Rather, you need to be the kind of sinner who realizes that God’s standard is the only one that counts, and there is no way that you ever did, ever could or ever would live up to that standard.   “As it is written: ‘There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understandeth; there is none that seeketh after God.’” (Romans 3:10-11). “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”(Romans 3:23). Next, you need to realize that, unless something intervenes, your sin deserves and will receive a punishment.  The all-knowing God knows all your dirty secrets. No one gets away with anything, and God is just. That means he must punish sin. (Whoever heard of a just judge who let the guilty go free?  I’ve heard of unjust judges doing that, possibly of demented judges, or emotional judges, or ignorant judges, but never will a just judge allow the perpetrator to get off free.) Get this, the punishment for sin is death!  “But. . .but, all I ever did was to tell a little white lie.”  (See the first point.)  By the way, there are two deaths, physical and spiritual. Physical death is where your body breaks and cannot maintain your spirit anymore.  It is a separation from the physical body.  Spiritual death is also a separation, but it is when a being--whether human or angel--will be separated from God forever! After all, if you choose not to receive Him in life, you will also have your decision honored in death. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23). “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life; and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him.” (John 3:36). But, praise God, that is not all, because God loves you. He loves all His creation, but He loves you individually. He showed you His love because he made a way--the only way--for you to be saved from Hell and forgiven for your sin. That way is through His Son, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross to take the punishment for your sins, was buried in a tomb for three days, and rose again on the third day to show that your debt was paid. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8). “For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). Finally, how do I get this salvation He offers? This is the interesting part: simply believe. It is a personal interaction, like a transaction between you and God. He put it this way in the Bible: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9). “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9). If you need some guidance in what to say to God, then please, . . . let me help. Prayer is talking to God, so remember, you are simply talking to God.  You could say something like this: “God, I know I have sinned against you and deserve Hell, please forgive me. I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sin.  I believe that he was in that grave for three days and that He rose again from the dead the third day. Here and now, I call upon Your name for salvation.  Thank you.  I pray this in Jesus name. Amen.” Now, if you have done that, I encourage you to let us know so that we can pray for you and send some materials that might help you learn more about God.  Also, please find a church that preaches the above plan of salvation and start attending. Articles of Belief

The Word of God, in it's entirety, is the basis and foundation of this church. That foundation is summarized in the following: I.    We believe in the Old and New Testament as verbally inspired of God, inerrant in the original writings and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life. II.   We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. III.    We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true man. IV.    We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and are by choice sinners in the thought, word, and deed. V.    We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. VI.    We believe in the physical resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate. VII.    We believe that salvation is by grace through faith, and that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God. VIII    We believe that those who are truly born again cannot fall away and perish, but are kept by the power of God. IX.    We believe that a true local church of Christ is a congregation of Baptized believers associated by covenant to proclaim the Gospel, observe the ordinances, and to encourage and tell one another to grow in Christ. We believe that each church should be independent, responsible directly to Christ; and that the Scriptural officers of the local church are pastors, and deacons, whose qualifications and duties are set forth in the New Testament. X.    We believe that the only Scriptural mode of baptism is immersion in water, and that this ordinance should be administered only to those who give a  clear confession of their faith in Christ, and show evidence of the new birth in lives We believe that baptism is a prerequisite to church membership. XI.    We believe that the Lord's Supper was instituted by Christ; that He gave the bread and fruit of the vine to represent His body and blood; and that this ordinance should be observed only by those who after examining themselves according to the commandment in I Corinthians 11, are assured by the Holy Spirit of their fitness. XII.    We believe that the bodily return of our Lord Jesus to catch up His people to meet Him in the air, is imminent. XIII.    We believe in the personal and the bodily return of our Lord Jesus to set up His Kingdom upon the Earth. XIV.    We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
